Michael P. Gelbart, D.D.S.
Dr. Gelbart graduated from New York University in 1975 with a B.S. degree, and went on to graduate from the New York University School of Dentistry in 1979. In 1980 he established Family Dental Centers in upstate New York, creating practice groups in Poughkeepsie, Fishkill, Brewster, Yonkers, Yorktown Heights and Manhattan.
Dr. Gelbart is a former NYU Clinical Assistant Professor, having trained NYU dental students for more than seven years. His continuing dental and medical practice education includes attendance at numerous symposiums and educational forums in implants, sinus lifts and bone augmentation at NYU and The Connecticut Implant Institute. He has also attended practice seminars in the rescue and repair of implants and implant-blades. In 2008, he attended the prestigious Vegas Institute for Cosmetic and Neuromuscular Dentistry.
Dr. Gelbart focuses on keeping up-to-date with all of the latest advancements in dentistry and medical technology, enabling him to practice at the highest level of dentistry and provide the best quality of care in the field. His expertise ranges from the most challenging cosmetic and restorative dentistry treatments to the most complicated dental surgeries performed today.
Since placing his first implant in 1991, Dr. Gelbart has been called on to place over 20,000 implants for patients in the US and abroad, with an extremely impressive record of success. His love and enthusiasm for dentistry, along with his amazing skills, have made him a model that his peers emulate and a consummate dental professional.

Edward Drescher, D.D.S.
Dr. Drescher is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and a Certified Anesthesiologist. He specializes in placing dental implants and performs advanced surgical procedures such as extractions of impacted wisdom teeth. Dr. Drescher is certified to provide I.V. sedation, which keeps patients conscious, pain-free and responsive to instruction. Dr. Drescher graduated from New York University College of Dentistry. To become an oral surgeon, four additional years of education are required, after completing four years of dental school. He trained in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at New York Hospital’s Cornell Medical Center. He also completed residencies at the VA Hospital and the Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. He completed his anesthesiology training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a member of the Connecticut Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is the attending doctor in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven, Connecticut. He is also a course director at the Connecticut Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons annual implant seminar.
Lance Gordon, D.M.D.
Dr. Gordon received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from Boston University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA, and performed his dental residency at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY. Dr. Gordon is a caring and compassionate dentist, who also is fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Gordon is a general dentist with clinical proficiency in molar rotary Endodontics, Crown and Bridge, Veneers, Invisalign, Surgical extractions and implant restorations. Dr. Gordon will be practicing out of the Fishkill and Jefferson Valley offices, as well as every other Saturday at the Brewster office.
Pratik Vakil, D.M.D.
Dr. Vakil is a Texas native and attended the University of Texas at Austin, receiving his undergraduate degree in Biology. He received his Masters of Science from Boston University Medical School. His D.M.D. is from Boston University Goldman School of Denistry. He completed hundreds of hours of courses in post-graduate dentistry and residency at Interfaith Medical Center for the underserved population of Brooklyn, New York.
He is dedicated to the newest advancements in cosmetic dentistry and keeps up to date with the latest technologies. He is a member of The American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and International congress of Oral Implantologists. He has been in dentistry for seven years, joining Family Dental in 2012.
Rebekah Tannen, D.M.D.
Dr. Tannen graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1990. She went onto University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery where she completed Doctor of Dental Surgery studies in 1994. After completing two years of a general practice dental residency at St. Barnabas Hospital and a Fellowship in Special Care Dentistry at The Rose F. Kennedy Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine Dr. Tannen decided to focus on pediatrics. Dr. Tannen completed her two-year pediatric dental training at St. Barnabas Hospital in 1999. Upon graduation she began practicing pediatric dentistry in New York City, Dutchess and Putnam County New York while teaching at St. Barnabas Hospital, as an associate attending. In 2003 she became a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is now committed to treating the patients of Family Dental Group in Fishkill and Brewster New York. She continues to teach and in 2005 became the Section Chief of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at St. Barnabas Hospital.
Cleopatra Sioris, D.D.S.
Dr. Sioris, a pediatric dentist, received her B.A. degree from H. Lehman College and went on to complete her D.D.S. at New York University. Her pediatric dental certificate is from Albert Einstein/Kennedy Horizon Center, Bronx, New York. She has been in practice for 35 years, the last seven, with Family Dental Group. Dr. Sioris regularly participates in dental outreach in nursery schools. She is fluent in French, Greek, and has a working knowledge of Spanish.
Neil Kesselman, D.D.S.
Dr. Neil Kesselman has been practicing dentistry for 30 years. He received his Bachelors of Science at SUNY Binghamton. Dr. Kesselman then went on to obtain his D.D.S. at the Ohio State University. He has been with Family Dental for over 20 years. Dr. Kesselman caters to nervous patients and enjoys transforming a patient back into normal function and appearance.
Fernando Ehrhardt D.M.D., M.S.
Dr. Erhardt attended the University of Miami in Florida, receiving a B.S. degree in Biology, a B.A. in Religious Studies, and a minor in Theater Arts. He went on to attend Harvard University School of Dental Medicine and Oral Surgery, completing his degree in 2002.
He performed his residency at Bronx, VA Medical Center. He was part of the Clinical Faculty at Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery until 2006. He is Board Eligible, American Academy of Periodontology.
Marina Chernin, D.D.S
Dr. Chernin attended Hunter College in New York City and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York City College of Dentistry in 1989. She has been in practice for 24 years, six years with Family Dental. She is a volunteer with Dental Volunteers of Israel, an organization that offers free dental care to Jerusalem’s at-risk children and youth.
Katherine Bracy, D.D.S.
Dr. Katherine Bracy graduated from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2006. She began working as a general dentist in her home state of Illinois.
While practicing, she realized that her true love was working with children. She went on to specialize in pediatric dentistry and received her certificate from St. Barnabas Hospital. She is a member of American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and board eligible in her specialty.
She juggles working in private practice four days a week with teaching at the Rose F. Kennedy Center, which specializes in children with developmental disabilities. She is passionate about creating an environment and experience that allows children to grow up without a fear of the dentist.
Larry Stein, D.D.S.
Dr. Larry Stein completed undergraduate studies at SUNY Albany and obtained his D.D.S. degree from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. He is a seasoned practitioner and has been with Family Dental Group for over fifteen years.
He is currently a member of the Academy of Craniofacial Pain; previously been a member of the American Dental Association, and the 9th District Dental Society. He completed the dental residency at Fishkill Beth Israel Medical Center in 1996.
Vincent Ayuko, D.D.S.
Dr. Ayuko attended dental school at the School Of Dental Sciences at the University of Nairobi, Africa. Upon moving to the United States, he attended New York University, receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2004. While attending NYU, he worked as an assistant at Family Dental Brewster. He is an extremely gentle dentist and promises a calm, and pain free visit.
